We are getting ready to celebrate Xaverian’s Spirit Week! Our entire school, from our newest 6th graders to our Seniors, participates in this annual tradition. There will be fun-filled activities and themes that show our Clipper Pride. The students enjoy all the festivities, but the true purpose of this week-long celebration is to reflect on the Catholic spirit of service, charity, community, and friendship.
Spirit Week not only fosters school spirit but also provides crucial financial support for our Clippers. The money raised goes to the Clipper Fund, which helps cover departmental and extracurricular expenses, technology upgrades, professional development, and various campus enhancements. Additionally, part of the proceeds will be dedicated to assisting families who have tragically lost a parent. In such cases, Xaverian covers the tuition for the affected student. Unfortunately, in recent years, the demand for this support has far exceeded our tuition reserves, even beyond what is allocated from our activity fees. Donations collected during Spirit Week will help offset these costs and ease the financial burden on grieving families.
Your support of Spirit Week will demonstrate your belief in the mission of our school. Parent participation directly impacts Xaverian’s ability to secure funding from foundations and secure grant opportunities.
We hope that every Xaverian family will give to our Spirit Week Appeal, as their means allow, but we are asking each family to consider a donation of at least $100.00 per child. Please know that no matter the amount of your support, all students will be included in the week’s events. We hope we can count on your support.
Any Genesis student whose family donates $125 or more to the Spirit Week fundraiser will have a gym uniform dress down every Thursday from October 17th through December.
To make your contribution, please donate below and include your child’s name in the comments section. You can also send a check to school with your child. All checks should be made payable to Xaverian and received by October 11th.
In 2023, we raised nearly $61,000.00 during Spirit Week. Last school year, nearly two-thirds of our families supported the Clipper Fund. We hope our students will embrace the camaraderie of Spirit Week and that we will surpass last year’s fundraising total. This year, our goal is to achieve 100% parent participation! Reaching this milestone would be a powerful testament to our school’s mission. What better way to demonstrate Clipper Pride and help us continue providing every student with a top-tier Catholic education! We truly appreciate your participation and look forward to a wonderful week for our students.
